Biography
Dr. Cruz is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude with honors in research. During his time at Harvard, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and received the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Award, as well as the American Academy of Periodontology Award. Before attending Harvard, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. He is currently pursuing additional training in oral & maxillofacial surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Of all the places he has lived, including growing up in the Chicagoland area, North Carolina is his favorite. He only wishes they had a professional baseball team, as he is an avid Cubs fan. In his little free time, he enjoys exercising, playing pickle ball, and spending time with his girlfriend while playing fetch with her relentless 3lb yorkie.
