Dr. Jeffrey Aycock, DMD

Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Aycock is a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon originally from Houma, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi and did additional post baccalaureate studies at Western Carolina University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2009. He is a 3rd generation dental professional as his grandfather was a general dentist and his father was an oral & maxillofacial surgeon. He completed a four-year oral & maxillofacial surgery residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX from 2013 – 2017. He was also an assistant professor in the program following the completion of his training. Dr. Aycock is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the ECU School of Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Aycock is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve Dental Corps and served on active duty previously for 10 and a half years. He was enlisted and then served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 44th Medical Brigade as a Medical Service Corps officer prior to entering the dental profession. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a dentist and to Bosnia & Nicaragua earlier in his career. He and his wife have 2 dogs, and they enjoy all types of outdoor activities especially being out on the water.
