Dr. Scott Tucker - Orthodontics

Working out of our Comp Rehab, Winston-Salem - University Dental Associates location, Dr. Scott Tucker loves saving the world from crooked teeth! He enjoys rolling up his sleeves and working with patients to help them achieve the perfect smile.

Dr. Scott Tucker graduated Summa cum Laude and as departmental Valedictorian from Bigham Young Univeristy and then went on to complete dental school and orthodontic residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, generally regarded as one of the best orthodontic programs in the world. He graduated with honors and received numerous awards. While at UNC Chapel Hill, Dr. Scott Tucker conducted research involving cone-beam CT imaging and virtual jaw surgery simulations. He also has interest in orthodontic temporary anchorage devices, self ligating orthodontics, and soft tissue lasers for orthodontics.

Dr. Scott Tucker works full time treating patients with University Dental Associates and maintains his position on faculty at the Wake Forest School of Medicine working with dental residents. This allows him to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontic technique and practice.

Dr. Scott Tucker is fluent in Spanish. He spent two years in Mexico as a missionary prior to attending dental school. He also volunteered as a Warden for the US embassy during that time.

In 2000, Dr. Scott Tucker married his wife, Gina, and they are the proud parents of 3 children; Kylie, Dallin, and Corbin. In his spare time Dr. Tucker enjoys vacationing in the mountains, watching college athletics, and working in his yard. The Tuckers enjoy spending time together as a family and love living in North Carolina!
